(January 2024) The construction funding for this project has been moved out beyond the five-year budget cycle to provide funding for other high priority projects.  The final design is currently on hold until construction funding becomes available.

The Dunwoody Trail Master Plan recommends a shared-use pedestrian and bicycle path on the east side  of Tilly Mill Road between Womack Road and Mount Vernon Road.  The proposed project provides a 12-foot-wide concrete path for cyclists and pedestrians separated from the roadway by a landscaped buffer The path will close a gap between the path being planned for Mount Vernon Road and the existing sidewalks and bike lanes to the south. The project will also improve access between the neighborhoods along Tilly Mill Road and the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, Congregation Ariel, and the Georgia State Dunwoody Campus.
