Real Time Crime Center

Real Time Crime Center Fecht KriegThe Dunwoody Police Department Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) connects technology to enhance public safety. It's located inside Dunwoody Police headquarters, at 4800 Ashford Dunwoody Road.

“The RTCC makes the tools we have for responding to emergencies and investigating crimes more effective,” said Dunwoody Police Chief Mike Carlson. “We’ve had great success with new technologies and continue to embrace new ways to keep our community safe.”

Powered by Flock Safety, the cutting-edge RTCC is a comprehensive command center that brings together the City’s license plate recognition (LPR) cameras, gunshot detection, police body cameras, Condor pan-tilt cameras, Flock's Adaptive 911, call geolocation, and third-party video cameras.

Real Time Crime Center logoDunwoody Police used $360,000 in SPLOST (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) funding to convert the police roll call room to the RTCC. Unveiled on August 15, 2024, the RTCC will be staffed by crime analysts and Dunwoody Public Safety Ambassadors, who are non-sworn personnel trained to work alongside police.

The RTCC is dedicated to former Dunwoody Police Chief Billy J. Grogan. “We wanted to show our gratitude for the vision he set from the founding of the Dunwoody Police Department,” explained Chief Carlson.
