Background and Criminal History Check services are available to Dunwoody Residents and Dunwoody Businesses with valid I.D. 

The Dunwoody Police Department provides Background and Criminal History Checks to Dunwoody Residents and Businesses (with I.D.) from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., seven days a week, excluding holidays. The fee for this service is $20.00 (cash only). Notary public services are available at City Hall for documents requiring them.

Background /Criminal History Checks may be required for a variety of reasons such as employment, adoptions, and child/elder care providers. In order to request a Background Check / Criminal History, you must complete the Background Check Consent Form.

Background Checks/Criminal History Reports are valid for thirty (30) days from date of authorization signature.

The Dunwoody Police Department does not offer fingerprint-based background checks.
