Fingerprinting services are available to Dunwoody Residents and Dunwoody Businesses with valid I.D.
Fingerprinting services are available to Dunwoody residents and Dunwoody business owners (with valid I.D.) on Tuesdays and Thursdays only from 9:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m..
The fee for this service is $15.00 (cash only). The Dunwoody Police Department offers both the Live Scan fingerprint system as well as ink fingerprinting. Notary public services are available at City Hall for documents requiring them.
Note: City Alcohol/Massage/Solicitor permit fingerprinting are by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please call City Hall at: 678/382-6700 to schedule.
Applicant fingerprinting can be required for a variety of reasons such as employment, adoptions, child care providers, bar exams, and banking. Most individuals needing applicant fingerprints will be provided the fingerprint cards by their employer or prospective employer.
The Dunwoody Police Department does not offer fingerprint-based background checks.
Fingerprinting for Firearms Permits
The DeKalb Probate Court completes all fingerprinting for Firearms Permits. The Dunwoody Police Department cannot fingerprint for Firearms Permits.
