The Dunwoody Police Department welcomes teenagers aged 14-19 to attend this FREE 5-day course designed to provide participants an inside look at local law enforcement operations and its challenges. Our Goal

The Dunwoody Teen Police Academy is part of the community policing efforts of the Dunwoody Police Department. The Teen Police Academy is dedicated towards enhancing the relationship between the youth of our community and our Police Department through fun and exciting interactive education. Our goal is to make the Teen Police Academy a positive, rewarding and enlightening experience for all attendees.

How does it work?

The Teen Police Academy is a 5-day summer program that will provide the youth of our community an opportunity to learn how the Dunwoody Police Department operates.

Who can participate?

City of Dunwoody residents will have first priority in the acceptance process. Applicants must be willing to submit to a criminal history check and a driving record check prior to being accepted as Teen Police Academy students.
