Short-Term Rentals

front door imageThe Code of Ordinances for the City of Dunwoody forbids short-term rentals of single-family and multi-family residences. This includes rentals of less than 30 days and applies to services like Vrbo, airbnb and HomeToGo.

Enforcement is complaint-driven. Options and steps for reporting a complaint can be found using this link.
For noise complaints and after-hours emergencies, call 911.

Dunwoody's Code also forbids the creation of party houses. These are single-family or multi-family residences used for a commercial party that guests pay to attend. Only special events facilities can be used for this purpose, and special event permits are required. These rules do not apply to personal social engagements.

Since most impacts occur during weekends and outside of work hours, please call 911 for noise complaints, traffic complaints or other infractions.
