The City of Dunwoody Sustainability Committee, formerly known as the Sustainability Commission, is an advisory body created by Dunwoody City Council to issue recommendations on sustainability related regulations, plans, and initiatives. They work with city staff to implement policies and procedures to reduce the environmental footprint of the city, while also providing public education and outreach on sustainability issues. Their work helps to improve the quality of life for citizens and property owners across Dunwoody. The Committee has seven members, each serving 3-year terms.

Responsibilities
Enable smart choices for our community by promoting:
- Energy, water, and fuel conservation
- Investment in renewable energy
- Recycling and waste reduction efforts
- Protection and restoration of Dunwoody’s natural resources.
Members also assist city staff with the implementation of Dunwoody’s Sustainability Plan, to support and maintain Atlanta Regional Commission Green Communities Gold status, and advise Dunwoody City Council on measures, practices, buildings, and fleets that are environmentally, economically, and socially responsible. Meetings
The Sustainability Committee meets on the second Thursday of each month at 8 a.m. Meetings are held at Dunwoody City Hall:
