Current Activities:

(May 2024) The City applied for a federal Safe Streets for All Grant to fund this project.  Grant awards are expected to be announced by the end of the year.

The North Peachtree Road trail is a project recommended in the Dunwoody Trail Master Plan to connect Brook Run Park, Chesnut Elementary School, and Peachtree Middle School. The master plan recommends that the trail run on the west side of North Peachtree Road where all three major destinations are located. The north end of the trail would connect to the Brook Run Trail and at the south end the trail would tie into a bike and pedestrian underpass at I-285 planned as part of the Top End 285 managed lane project. 

The master plan envisions the typical design of a 10-foot concrete path with a 5-foot landscape buffer.
