The city is beginning to develop the concept for this project based on the recommendations of the Dunwoody Trail Master Plan. N11 references the designation of this project in the plan.

Project Description

The Dunwoody Trail Master Plan recommends a path for bicycles and pedestrians along the north side of Mount Vernon Road between Dunwoody Village and Dunwoody Club Drive to connect the neighborhoods along this segment with the commercial areas at each end. The city is currently acquiring right of way for the segment at Tilly Mill Road and is developing the engineering design plans for the segment between Vermack Road and Mount Vernon Place. For the section between Dunwoody Village and Vermack Road, the trail master plan envisions a 12-foot, concrete path with a landscape buffer. All three segments are included in the 10-year trail implementation plan.
