October is Dunwoody Arts & Culture Month

Bringing together our diverse art, culture, and nature organizations and their members, Dunwoody Arts & Culture Month is an annual salute to our cultural and artistic treasures and their impact on the metro Atlanta community.

Dunwoody Arts & Culture Month is celebrated every October in conjunction with National Arts and Humanities month, giving our cultural partners the attention they deserve while raising Dunwoody’s profile across the nation. We encourage you to immerse yourself as we amplify the arts and celebrate the culture of our community during Dunwoody Arts & Culture Month 2023.

Snap and share your experiences on social by using #DunwoodyACM all month long.

Facing Y’all: Inclusion Through the Lens

Spruill Gallery frames the South in an upcoming photography exhibition Facing Y’all: Inclusion Through the Lens curated by Gallery Director Shannon Morris from The DoGood Fund collection: A visual Narrative of the Ever-Changing American South.

Facing Y’all features a curated selection of works by 18 photographers whose work is a part of the DoGood Fund collection. This exhibition will be on view from September 21 through October 29, 2023.

Spruill Gallery will also serve as a cultural partner to Atlanta Art Week (AAW) when they host Let’s Talk on Tuesday, October 3 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. AAW is a new initiative that recognizes and supports Atlanta as a burgeoning art scene on the rise. Let’s Talk, an artists’ panel moderated by Shannon Morris, will feature Atlanta-based artists Sheila Pree Bright, Jill Frank and Jerry Siegel, who will offer insight regarding their process and engagement with the subjects of their photographs.

Facing Y'all celebrates the faces that frame the diversity of today’s South through the lens of its photographers. The exhibition presents 29 works by 18 artists from the renowned Do-Good Fund Collection, including Pinky MM Bass, Sheila Pree Bright, Harlan Bozeman, Carolyn Drake, Jill Frank, Peyton Fulford, Anna Gay, Arielle Gray, Andres Gonzalez, Titus Brooks Heagins, Kevin Kline, Brittainy Lauback, Carl Martin, Ted Partin, Jerry Siegel, Mike Smith, Michael Stipe and Vanessa Winship.

Facing Y’all is made possible by Presenting Sponsor Northside Hospital.
