Located at 4770 North Peachtree Road, at 110-acres, Brook Run Park is the largest park in not only Dunwoody, but the region. This signature park features a large playground, 2-mile loop multi-use trail, skate park, dog park, community garden, and event pavilions. Dunwoody Senior Baseball is now proud to call Brook Run Park home. Parking for the baseball fields is located at Peachtree Charter Middle School at 4664 N. Peachtree Road, Dunwoody, Georgia 30338.

This new event area includes terraced seating, expanded levels of open space, restrooms and an upgraded pavilion (called the Great Lawn pavilion) that seats 200. Soon to be home to community concerts and special events, the area can also be reserved for your private function. The Great Lawn Pavilion has 26 picnic tables and can accommodate approximately 200 seated and 250-300 total. The Great Lawn and amphitheater space is included in your rental fee. There are also two grills, water and power at the pavilion. Rates and availability can be found here

Baseball Fields

Brook Run Baseball Fields at nightfallThe City of Dunwoody is very excited to open this new amenity at Brook Run Park. The two new baseball fields were designed with Dunwoody Senior Baseball and Peachtree Charter Middle School to provide a variety of sports opportunities for our baseball league and the middle school physical education classes. The artificial turf maximizes the playtime available and has a multi-sport overlay for baseball, softball and soccer.

The baseball fields are available for use for pick-up games, outside of the scheduled school and baseball activities. View more information for current baseball programming.

Community Garden

Dunwoody Community Garden at Brook Run Park is more than a place to grow organic food; it is a place to cultivate community. With each seed planted in the garden, fresh produce, healthy lifestyles, and eco-literacy will grow. Run by the 501(c)(3) Dunwoody Community Garden at Brook Run Park, approximately twenty percent of the produce is donated to charity. All members of the community, not just green thumbs, are encouraged to visit and see what’s sprouting at the garden. Gardener showing community garden crops

Disc Golf

The new course at Brook Run Park is OPEN. Starting near the Community Garden, the wooded course meanders through the park and offers 9 tee pads with both long and short baskets. Dog Park

Dog ParkThe Brook Run Dog Park is roughly two wooded acres for off-leash play. Nestled in the woods towards the back of Brook Run Park, the tree canopy offers shade protection from the summer heat as well as from mild rains. The Dog Park is entirely fenced and features multiple entry points with double-gates for safety of the dogs and their humans. Run by the 501(c)(3) Brook Run Dog Park Association, regular clean-up days and volunteer opportunities abound.

Please remember that outside of the confines of the Dog Park, your dog is required by law to be leashed, including between your car and the gates of the Dog Park. Please do not allow your dog to wander off-leash outside of the fence.

Enjoy the two new multi-sport fields, complete with a concession stand, overlook plaza, parking, restrooms, and an added entrance from Barclay Drive. Stop by to watch youth soccer, adult flag football or to play a pick-up game of your own!

Both fields are free and first-come, first-serve outside of scheduled programming. Program schedules are posted weekly onsite.

Multi-Use Trailbrook run park trail with bicycles

Part of the Dunwoody Trailway, the trail around Brook Run Park is 1.8 miles in length and allows you to see all the park has to offer. Connect to Pernoshal Park and continue on to Georgetown Park via the trail connector in the back of park. Completing both the Brook Run Park and Pernoshal Park trails equals that of a 5K. 

Open Fields

Outside of scheduled programming, Brook Run Park also houses two open fields for your use. The Front Field (near the playground) and the new Peach Field (near the Community Garden) are open for pick-up play. Please no organized games or practices in these areas.

Pavilions

New in 2020, Brook Run is now home to a large rental pavilion and medium sized first-come, first-serve pavilion. The large rental pavilion looks down onto the Great Lawn and amphitheater. Parking for both pavilions can be found near the Peeler Rd. entrance, across from the Treetop Quest lot. Small gazebos can also be found near the playground and front field for your use at any time. 

Playground

Frequently rated as a top playground in the area, the playground and children’s adventure garden has clusters of bright play structures with shades above to hide from the sun. Play structures are separated for toddlers and older kids and include slides and swings of varying sizes, several sets of monkey bars, a multicolored tunnel, and a “log roll” for balancing. Come see why it's one of the best!

Skate Park

cropped dunwoody skater photoBrook Run Skate Park is the largest skate park in the metro Atlanta area, consisting of a variety of skate terrain for all skill levels. The park was designed to accommodate entry-level skaters as well as challenge more advanced “street skaters” looking to test themselves on elements they might encounter throughout most public locations. The 27,000 sq. ft. facility is a “flow” type of park and is fully lighted.

Helmets are required at the Skate Park so please come prepared. Download the Skate Park Rules.

The Skate Park is open year round, seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. (Sunday through Thursday) and 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. (Friday and Saturday).

The new Treetop Quest elevated course and zip-line adventure showcases 52 obstacles and 12 zip-lines in 4 courses. In addition, the park includes a Net Trampoline, the first of its kind in Georgia, and a low ropes course for children ages 4 to 6, called Kiddie Quest. The park also includes picnic tables and birthday party areas.
