The City of Dunwoody invites community members to nominate deserving candidates for the Sustainability Hero Awards. Initiated in 2012 and presented by Dunwoody’s Sustainability Committee, the Sustainability Hero Award program honors exemplary individuals and organizations to recognize their dedication, service, and leadership in sustainable practices.  

The nomination period for the 2023 Sustainable Hero Award program begins February 12 and runs through March 8, 2024. Interested residents, local nonprofits, and area businesses can participate in the process by filling out the online nomination form below. The winners will be selected by Dunwoody’s Sustainability Committee and announced in April. 

Nominated individuals must be residents of the City of Dunwoody. Likewise, nominated companies or businesses must be licensed within the City of Dunwoody or have clear ties to sustainable initiatives in Dunwoody in order to be included in the selection process.
