The Dunwoody Preservation Trust along with Presenting Sponsor Fifth Third Bank, Dunwoody, announces its 24th annual Lemonade Days Festival, a five-day event to be held this coming spring at beautiful Brook Run Park in Dunwoody.
Begun in 1999, the first Lemonade Days was held as a relief effort for those families affected by the 1998 tornado that tragically destroyed entire Dunwoody neighborhoods. With something for everyone, it has since grown into a five-day festival and Dunwoody signature event attracting an estimated 20,000 attendees.
The 2024 Lemonade Days will again feature full-scale carnival rides, fabulous food-and-beverage vendors; pony rides; a petting zoo; and the popular Dunwoody Idol contest. Making a second festival appearance, the thrill ride "Time Warp" and the "Deep Fried" concession stand featuring deep fried Oreos and Snickers among other delicious treats, will again be part of the must-experience list for festival goers. During the weekend, the First Annual High School Battle of the Bands will be held along with the Dunwoody Authors & Friends Booth featuring twenty-plus local authors and their publications for purchase and signature.
The Lemonade Days Festival is the only fundraiser of the Dunwoody Preservation Trust (DPT), with the profits going to the continued rehabilitation and maintenance of the historic 1870 Donaldson-Bannister Farm (a partnership of the DPT and the City of Dunwoody, voted as a "Best of Georgia" 2023 award winner for the Best Meeting & Event Facilities by the Georgia Business Journal, as well as numerous community events, educational programs for children and adults and Dunwoody’s only history camp for kids.
The festival will run April 17-21, 2024, with the following hours of operation:
Wed., April 17, 4pm-10pm
Thurs., April 18, 4pm-10pm
Fri., April 19, 4pm-10pm
Sat., April 20, 10am-10pm
Sun., April 21, 12 noon-6pm
Wristbands for unlimited rides are available for $20 on Family Nights (Wednesday and Thursday) and $30 (Friday – Sunday). Single tickets may be purchased for $1.25. Brook Run Park is located at 4770 North Peachtree Road in Dunwoody, Georgia 30338.
Fifth Third Bank is the presenting sponsor for the second consecutive year. The Bank welcomed a new financial center location at 1545 Mount Vernon Road last January and is committed to being a pillar in the Dunwoody community.
“We are proud to sponsor the beloved Dunwoody Days and celebrate the thriving community with residents at the festival,” said Randy Koporc, regional president for Fifth Third in Georgia. “We support the important work being done by the Dunwoody Preservation Trust and are honored to partner.”
