Beginning Inkle Weaving

NEW!!!  Beginning Inkle weaving. This beginner class will teach you the basics of band weaving on an Inkle Loom. Learn how to make heddles, warp a loom, and weave your own “one of a kind” inkle band. These charming bands range from 1/4” to 3” wide. They can be an end in themselves (think shoelaces to hat bands) or they can enhance handsewn and handwoven textile goods with hang loops or apron ties. The possibilities are endless.

CHG will provided Inkle looms, shuttles, and yarn. If you have your own open-sided inkle loom (Schacht-like) and/or yarn, (5/2 or 3/2 cotton), feel free to bring. Those using guild looms will have to cut off by the end of class.
