Join Trees Atlanta Education Supervisor, Starr Whitten, on a discovery walk of the DNC trails, highlighting native tree species. The walk will focus on tree identification during the fall/winter seasons when there is little to no foliage. Throughout the walk participants will have the opportunity to take bark rubbings of highlighted trees as a means of Tree ID. After tree bark rubbings/walking tour, participants will enjoy some more forest exploration through a leaf litter scavenger hunt. Come prepared to be outdoors and enjoy the forest in late fall – Trees Atlanta will bring nature journals writing utensils for folks to enjoy.
This program will include a walk over uneven terrain; strollers and walkers are not recommended. We do not require masks while outdoors; please monitor your own health and do not attend if you are exhibiting any symptoms of Covid-19.
