We will be studying twills on rigid heddle. At this point, you may have been weaving plain weave patterns (each weft thread goes over or under each warp thread. Twills allow the weaver to weave more patterns because of different warp and weft interactions. People ask if twills can be woven on the rigid heddle loom. The answer is a definite yes!
We will be doing class samples. You will be able to read simple twill patterns upon completion of this class. More complex patterns/twill structures will be covered in the fall classes.
