10/2/2020 Update at 8:45 p.m. - DeKalb Watershed Management crews stabilized a large water main break on Peeler Road today, but there is still work to do. According to DeKalb Commissioner Nancy Jester, the decision was made to do the repair this evening because of the effect the repair will have on water service throughout the area, including an elderly care home. The crews will be working through the night to complete the repair by the morning.  This will minimize disruption of water service to the area. Crews are shutting off valves on Peeler Road from Chamblee Dunwoody Road to N. Peachtree to help with pressure issues. There is no boil water advisory and no indication of contamination. Brown water is the result of mineral deposits in pipes picked up by fluctuations in pressure.
