Beginning in 2011, Lynn Deutsch served as a Dunwoody City Councilmember and was elected Mayor in November 2019. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with bachelor’s degrees in Government and Journalism, she earned a master’s degree in City Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a graduate certificate in Gerontology from Georgia State University. 

Prior to her election to City Council, Lynn served on the Dunwoody Planning Commission and on boards of her neighborhood Women’s Club, as well as the Dunwoody Homeowners Association. Lynn is a long-time education volunteer and advocate who has served in a variety of leadership roles at several area schools. She has also served on state- and county-level committees.

Lynn is a recent graduate of the Arts Leaders of Metro Atlanta program and the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Regional Leadership Institute. In addition to serving on the Legislative Policy Commission of the Georgia Municipal Association, she is Vice-Chair of the policy committee of the DeKalb Municipal Association.  

Catherine Lautenbacher was elected to the Dunwoody City Council Post 1 in November 2021. She works as the Program Director for Leadership Sandy Springs, teaching community leadership to foster more involved and effective residents. 

Growing up in a Navy family, she moved often and graduated from high school in Utah. She attended Boston University on a full ROTC scholarship and graduated with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. She received her MBA at UNC Charlotte. Catherine served in the U.S. Air Force for four years as an intelligence officer for a C-130 unit. She then worked as a product engineer in a manufacturing plant. 

She and her family moved to Dunwoody in 2000, and she became an active participant in the nonprofit world. She has been board president of the Community Assistance Center, Dunwoody Nature Center, and Mill Glen Swim and Tennis. She served on the board of Discover Dunwoody and Every Woman Works. 

Rob Price was elected to Dunwoody City Council in 2021. Prior to his election to City Council, Rob served on the Dunwoody Planning Commission for four years, at which time he completed the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Training for Planning Officials program.   

He graduated from Miami University with bachelor’s degrees in Zoology and History, and earned Master of Science in Environmental Science and Master of Public Affairs degrees from Indiana University. Professionally, he worked for five years in state government in Ohio and 20 years in private consulting. In 2020, he transitioned to the nonprofit sector and currently works for the Alliance for International Reforestation. 

Rob and his wife Jenny have lived in Dunwoody since 1999. They have two teenage children who attend schools in the DeKalb County School District. They also have two dogs. 

Tom has served on the Dunwoody City Council since 2017. Prior to his term as an elected official, Tom served in several different volunteer roles dating back to the city’s incorporation. Tom was a charter member and vice-chair of the Dunwoody Sustainability Commission. When Dunwoody drafted its first Comprehensive Transportation Plan, Tom was invited to serve on a citizen’s advisory committee that helped guide the plan and prioritize projects; he served in this same capacity when the plan was updated in 2016.

A graduate of Penn State University, Tom began his professional career in New York as a front office manager for Marriott.  Seeking new opportunities, he moved to Atlanta in 1994 and began work as a marketing consultant for Texaco. 

From the moment he moved to Dunwoody, Tom has been an active volunteer and leader in the community.  He has volunteered countless hours as a youth coach (with MCLL, Atlanta Colts, UFA, DUMC and CMS), in local schools, with the Boy Scouts and a variety of other community organizations. Tom married his wife Danielle in 1999 and moved into the Dunwoody home where they raised their two children and still live today. 

In 2024, he was elected by his Council peers as Mayor Pro Tem.

Stacey has served on the Dunwoody City Council since 2020. Prior to her election, Stacey served on the Sustainability Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals.  

Stacey has lived in Dunwoody longer than anywhere else as her father was in the U.S. Air Force and the family moved often during her childhood. She graduated from high school in Moscow, Idaho. Following her graduation from Middlebury College with a degree in International Politics and Economics, she lived in Russia for two years.

Upon her return to the United States, Stacey moved to Atlanta to work as an assistant housing manager for the Olympic Games. She continued her career in event management working for the Goodwill Games until 2001. Currently, Stacey is a program director at the MJCCA overseeing gymnastics, aquatics and tennis programs.

Stacey lives in Dunwoody with her husband, two teenage children and their dog, Nelson.

Joe was elected to Dunwoody City Council in November 2019 and is a retired U.S. Army Major and Operation Iraqi Freedom combat veteran with 23 years of service. He currently is a senior manager at Accenture with 27-plus years of experience deploying human capital management solutions, working with Fortune 100 and public sector organizations including federal, state and local governments, and Department of Defense agencies. Joe spent several years living in Europe working in project leadership roles in Switzerland, Germany, England, France, Italy, Scotland, Denmark, Northern Ireland, and Spain. 

Joe previously served on the board of the Dunwoody Homeowners Association, the Dunwoody Sustainability Committee, and Master Transportation Plan Advisory Committee. He was the founder of Bike Walk Dunwoody, and former board member and president of the statewide nonprofit Georgia Bikes. In 2018, Joe was awarded the city’s Sustainability Hero Award. Joe presently serves on the Transportation Policy Commission of the Georgia Municipal Association. 

Joe enjoys being active outdoors, including cycling, hiking, kayaking in both the north Georgia mountains and the coastal barrier islands, and attending local community theater with his wife Kathleen, who can be seen regularly on stage performing in regional productions.  

John Heneghan was elected to the first Dunwoody City Council in 2008 after serving on the incorporation committee as the Transportation Chair. He previously served as Mayor Pro Tem.

After graduating from Roosevelt University in Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration/Business Law, John started his federal career as a trucking safety investigator with the USDOT, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. He later became a hazmat investigator with the USDOT Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration. In 1996, a promotion to regional director relocated John from Chicago to Dunwoody. He now oversees regulatory compliance of chemical companies within eight states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

John is a graduate of management programs of Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government, and Loyola University in Chicago. In addition, he has completed a radiological engineering program at Louisiana State University, among many other technical classes.  

John and his wife Kristin have three sons, with the youngest now attending Dunwoody High School, where Kristin is also a regular substitute teacher. John is incredibly proud of his time on Dunwoody City Council and prides himself in personal assistance with resident issues.
