Carjacking at 2300 Peachford Road

On May 4, 2018 at 09:48 PM, Dunwoody Police responded to 2300 Peachford Road regarding an armed robbery in progress.

Location: 2300 Peachford Road / Sterling of Dunwoody Condominiums 
On May 4, 2018 at 09:48 PM, Dunwoody Police responded to 2300 Peachford Road regarding an armed robbery in progress. The victim reported they arrived at 2300 Peachford Road and were followed in the condominium community by a black Infiniti. A black male approached the victim’s vehicle with a handgun and demanded the vehicle. The suspect took the victim’s vehicle and fled the location with the black Infiniti.

Officers responded to the area and observed the suspect vehicleand the victims stolen vehicle, a black 2009 BMW 750LI,traveling on Cotillion Drive near North Shallowford Road. Officers attempted to stop the vehicles but the vehicles fled. Officers lost sight of the vehicles near Cotillion Drive and Chamblee Dunwoody Road.

Moments later, officers received reports of a single vehicle crash at the intersection of East Nancy Creek Drive and Chamblee Dunwoody Road involving the black Infiniti. By the time officers arrived the suspect had already fled on foot. Officers from the Dunwoody Police Department, with the assistance of the Doraville Police Department, Chamblee Police Department, Brookhaven Police Department, and the Dekalb County Police Department searched the area on foot and by air. The suspect was not located and the investigation is ongoing.


Anyone who encounters the black 2009 BMW 750LI with Georgia tag DUR-452 is urged to call 911. Do not approach the vehicle or suspect(s) as they are considered armed and dangerous.
