Administrative Decisions

AP 17-04: Jeremy and Marci Silverman, owners of 2635 Poplar Lake Trail, Dunwoody, GA 30360, request a Special Administrative Permit per Chapter 27, Sec. 27-436(5) to reduce the rear yard setback by greater than ten percent, but no more than ten feet, for building additions not exceeding one story or 18 feet in height. The tax parcel number is 06 308 06 025.  The decision date is March 29, 2017.

Decision: Approved with conditions - March 29, 2017

AP 17-05: Leslie Jessee, owner of 5381 Oxford Chase Way, Dunwoody, GA 30338, requests a Special Administrative Permit per Chapter 27, Section 27-436(4) to reduce the rear yard setback by up to 10 percent for a home addition. The tax parcel number is 18 373 01 118.

Decision: Approved with conditions - April 27, 2017

 

AP 17-06: Philip Syribeys, owner of 5154 Chestnut Ridge Drive, Dunwoody, GA 30338, requests a Special Administrative Permit per Chapter 27, Section 27-436(4) to reduce the street yard setback by up to 10 percent for a home addition. The tax parcel number is 18 366 05 035.

Decision: Approved with conditions - May 18, 2017.

 

Board/Commission Decisions

 

March 13, 2017 City Council Meeting

SLUP 17-021: Lang Real Estate Services, LLC, c/o Jacob Lang, on behalf of DAVECHEV, INC, owner of 5465 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody, GA 30338, seeks the following Special Land Use Permits from Chapter 27: a.) Section 27-97(g)(1) to exceed the maximum allowed parking in the Dunwoody Village Overlay District; b.) Section 27-97(i)(3) to reduce the pedestrian zone along the abutting sides and rear of the building; and c.) Section 27-97(k)(1)(a) to reduce the pedestrian “build to zone” requirement. The tax parcel number is 18 366 07 008.

Decision: City Council voted to approve the request with conditions (4-2).

 

March 14, 2017 Planning Commission Meeting

Text Amendment: 1. Design Review Advisory Committee plan review (Section 27-97(d)); 2. residential infill (Section 27-147); 3. prohibited variances (Section 27-392); and 4. home occupations (Section 27-168)

Decision: The commission recommended approval of amendments 1, 2, 3 (6-0) and 4 (4-2).

 

April 12, 2017 City Council Meeting

Text Amendments to Chapter 27 (Zoning Oridnance)

Decision: City Council voted to approve the ammendments with conditions (7-0).

 

April 13, 2017 Planning Commission Meeting

Text Amendment to Chapter 27 regarding chickens.

Decision: The Commission recommended approval of the ammendment with conditions (5-0).

 

May 4, 2017 Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting

ZBA 17-04: Laurel David, on behalf of 4651 CDR LLC, owner of 4651 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, seeks a variance to Chapter 27, Section 27-73, to encroach the front yard setback for construction of a new building. The tax parcel number is 18 352 04 002.

Decision: The board voted to grant the variance with conditions (4-0).

 

ZBA 17-05: James Kelley, on behalf of Peer Tepperwien, owner of 5025 Oakhurst Walk, seeks a variance to Chapter 27, Section 27-58, to encroach the rear yard setback for the expansion on an existing deck. The tax parcel number is 18 369 01 100.

Decision: The Boardl voted to grant the variance (4-0).
